Beard Lichen, All-Natural Foraged Usnea | Craft Supplies, Terrarium Building, Art Decor Moss, Floral Decoration

This beard lichen (usnea) is hand collected from our 12 acre forest lot located on beautiful Cape Breton Island. Our lichen is certified organic- our property has never been sprayed with chemicals.

The lichen is prolific here and grows on our soft wood trees. This lichen has been carefully collected, dried out, and compressed.

This lichen is a fantastic material for all sorts of art projects, including mixed-media, terrarium building, floral decorations and much more.

We compress and fit as much lichen as we can into a 11 x 11 cm plastic baggie. This generally gives you about 10-15 grams of lichen per bag. Once removed from the bag you can stretch the lichen out and expand it in size!

You may find different kinds of lichens mixed in, along with small pieces of natural items like twigs or bark. We try to sort these out but small pieces do find their way in.
