This elegant piece features a real rat skull in a vintage two-panel pure pewter frame.
The rat skull in this frame was ethically sourced. It was found naturally deceased in Montreal Quebec Canada, and has been professionally processed.
The rat skull is on the left side, and it's bottom jaws have been arranged on the right side. The bones have been secured within the frame on a crushed velvet dark purple background. The bones are not behind glass, they pop out from the frame. Even though the bones are firmly secured, the entire piece should be handled carefully.
This piece is very small, measuring only 8 cm in width, 7 cm in height, and 2.5 cm in depth.
The frame is a 1984 Elias pure pewter frame made in the USA. It's quality (9.25 sterling pewter) is denoted on the right side of the frame. This frame is designed to sit flat, it doesn't have a hanging bracket.
The perfect addition to an oddities collection, and the perfect gift for someone with a love for gothic or witchy home decor.
